This section is devoted to customer questions. Please submit your question by using our "Contact Us" page. Q. Can you order Catpaper over the phone? A. Yes. Call toll free: (866) LILYCAT, (866) 545-9228. Please leave a message. We will return your call. Q. Does Catpaper come in colors? A. No...just in white. Piddlepaws is blue. Q. Are widths greater than 20 inches available? A. Catpaper is available only in 20 inch widths. For greater widths, we recommend joining pads or lengths of roll together with Scotch tape. Scotch tape adheres nicely to the plastic side of Catpaper. Q. Does Catpaper make a crinkly noise, like plastic? A. Catpaper is completely silent when wrinkled or sat on. Q. How do you keep Catpaper in place? A. For upholstery, Catpaper can be taped or tucked under cushions. For hard surfaces, like the top of the stereo, a few well placed pieces of tape (Scotch, clear packaging tape) work fine. Joined pieces of Catpaper, as seen in the bedcover (see "Lily`s Friends"), are heavy enough to stay in place. Q. How much liquid can Catpaper absorb? A. Catpaper can absorb 2.4 fluid ounces per square foot. To make this meaningful, we estimate that the average healthy 10 lb adult cat can urinate from between 3.4 to 4.6 fluid ounces per day.* If a cat urinates 3 to 5 times each day, the volume of urine on one visit to the litter box ranges from 0.7 to 1.5 fluid ounces - an amount easily handled by a square foot of Catpaper. *[Estimates are based on a urine production rate of 22-30 ml per kg per day.] Q. Why not just use a plastic sheet to cover furniture? A. Unlike a plastic sheet, which allows liquid to pool and drip, Catpaper is absorbent and acts like a blotter. Q. Can Catpaper be purchased in retail stores? A. Yes, but only in Colorado. Click here to see a list of stores. |
